If I wrote a personals ad in the newspaper about 30 years ago... it would read like this:

 

'Ello Mate!

If anyone is involved in a group or get-together that discuss parenting topics, could you contact me? Or if there is one yet to be started, I think we can start with a "#ParentsBBQ" type of setting that promotes discussions of our experiences with raising our kids. It will be a setting in which parenting topics are expected and welcomed. But also where we can have a good burger and chips. As Parents, we should be able to place our personal disagreements aside, and instead, focus our attention on our kids' well being. So besides (the tape for sale). My "Newspaper Ad" 30 years ago would be a good way to promote a good cause and find some traction. In this case, it would be a Picnic-type of an event that promotes a positive parenting theme. (That's a lotta P's.) It's intention is to build stronger communities through stronger relationships with our kids.

Now here's my question:

That may have worked 30 years ago. Okay that wasn't a question. But. Here's the question: How do I get this message out now? Is Craigslist and FB the most common way?

So for now, I'll just post it on my website, because I already know that the people who are reading this have a positive interest in good parenting.
