Just In Case You Were

Wondering....

In case anyone was wondering...

Amazon has a product called the Amazon Fire TV Recast., And it works like a dvr, but for live tv. The important thing to note is that it IS a DVR and it only works with LIVE TV - such as your local fox, or nbc, or ION television. When I read other reviews on this product, many said "LIVE TV" just like I did, but didn't specify on the Amazon Fire TV stick compatibility. (At least the ones that I read). So That's what this brief piece is going to be on.

The Amazon Fire TV Recast does NOT record ANY fire TV stick shows. And so whatever show that you watch with your fire TV stick, you CANNOT record it. The product isn't made to work with it. The product only records the channels that you can get with the "rabbit ears" antenna. It also does not work with a "cable box" from your local cable provider. The only thing that it can record is live "antenna channels".

When we were setting up the product, we were hoping that we could record a show from the Fire Stick HD. That was it's main purpose. Since it did not allow that function, we just decided to return the product to Amazon.

Don't get me wrong, It seems like a really cool device, it was easy to set up, took minimal space, and got clear channels... it's just that it wasn't exactly what we thought it would be.. and just in case anyone else was wondering the same thing, now they know.
